Dr. Xiao Chengye is the Vice-Chair for Academic Affairs and Somatic Training of ADRPA (Asian Dance Research & Practice Association). He is a doctoral researcher in dance studies and a leading specialist in scientific dance training, somatic education, and dance health. He currently serves as President of the Dezhou Square Dance Association and Director of the Dezhou Siwei Dance Research Institute, with long-term expertise in integrating body-based science into dance education and professional training.
Dr. Xiao’s research and teaching focus on dance conditioning and injury prevention, somatic principles for performance, and mind–body methodologies for sustainable training. He has published multiple influential works in dance pedagogy and health studies, including Dancer’s Health, Scientific Training and Aesthetics in Dance Form, Dance Education Theory and Performance Techniques, and Dance and Somatics: Mind–Body Principles for Teaching and Performance, as well as Chinese translations and practical guides related to craniosacral therapy.
He has been invited to deliver lectures and professional workshops at universities and arts institutions across China, contributing to the development of evidence-based dance training systems. His widely recognized research outcome, “Pain-Free Fundamentals Training,” provides a valuable theoretical framework and practical guidance for contemporary dance education.
肖承業博士現任亞洲舞蹈研究與實踐協會(ADRPA)副主席(學術與身體訓練事務),為舞蹈博士研究生,長期深耕於舞蹈科學訓練、躯體學(Somatics)與舞蹈健康教育等領域,致力於推動舞蹈教學由經驗導向走向更具科學方法與身心整合的專業訓練體系。現任德州市廣場舞協會會長、德州四維舞蹈研究院院長。
在研究與實踐方面,肖承業博士聚焦於舞蹈專業身體能力訓練、舞蹈醫學與運動損傷預防、以及教學與表演中的身心原則。其學術成果涵蓋舞蹈教育與健康研究,出版多部相關著作,包括《舞者健康》、《舞蹈藝術形體科學訓練與美學》、《舞蹈教育理論與表演技巧探究》、《舞蹈與躯體學:教學與表演的身心原則》等,並出版多部與**顱骶療法(Craniosacral Therapy)**相關的實用指南。
肖博士亦多次受邀在全國多所高校與藝術院校舉辦舞蹈科學訓練專題講座與工作坊,推動舞蹈訓練理念的學術化與專業化。其提出並實踐的研究成果「無痛基本功」,為當代舞蹈教育提供了具指導意義的理論支撐與實踐路徑。
